About Us

At Park Kadal Energy Pvt Ltd, we are committed to revolutionizing the way the world generates and utilizes energy. Founded with a vision to harness the immense potential of natural resources.

Parkadal Energy

Park Kadal Energy Private Limited is a technology-driven company focused on generating clean energy from natural resources through non-conventional and sustainable methods. Our primary mission is to harness the vast potential of seawater to produce electricity and hydrogen at an affordable cost for the benefit of humanity.
Our patented technology for Electricity from Seawater has received technical recognition and approval from scientists under the MSME ecosystem, Government of India, validating its scientific and practical value. In addition, our patented apparatus for harvesting hydrogen (H₂) from seawater is designed to operate without chlorine (Cl₂) emission, addressing key environmental and safety concerns associated with conventional seawater electrolysis.
With expertise in producing electricity, hydrogen, and oxygen from seawater through advanced electrochemical processes, Parkadal Energy is committed to reducing carbon emissions and supporting climate change mitigation through innovative, environmentally responsible energy solutions.

Our Leadership

Founder & Managing Director: Er. K. Rajendran, B.Sc., A.M.I.E.

K. Rajendran is the Founder and Managing Director of Parkadal Energy, with over 25 years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure development, and project execution.

He is a patent holder for an apparatus developed to generate hydrogen (H₂) from seawater, forming one of the core technologies of Parkadal Energy. The technology is designed to produce hydrogen without the evolution of chlorine gas (Cl₂), addressing a major safety and environmental concern associated with conventional seawater electrolysis.

His professional career includes service at the Highways Research Station, Chennai, where he contributed to engineering research and public infrastructure projects. He also possesses significant expertise in marine and seawater corrosion engineering, having worked on corrosion-related studies and corrective measures at the Pamban Bridge (Rameswaram, India)—a critical coastal structure exposed to aggressive marine conditions.
Driven by innovation and sustainability, K. Rajendran voluntarily retired from government service to invest his personal resources in research and development, focusing on environmentally responsible seawater-based energy and hydrogen technologies. He brings strong strengths in engineering planning, industrial execution, and technology commercialization, guiding Parkadal Energy from research to practical deployment.
His leadership is focused on enabling safe, chlorine-free hydrogen production from seawater, contributing to clean energy generation and long-term energy security.

Executive Director | Inventor & Researcher: Er. R. Vignesh

R. Vignesh is the inventor and patent holder of the innovative concept “Electricity from Seawater”, developed through a novel electrochemical approach. Moving beyond conventional battery systems based solely on anode and cathode electrodes, he introduced a new electrode concept named EARTHOD, which establishes a functional electrochemical relationship between the battery system and the Earth.

This breakthrough has enabled the development of a Marine Battery capable of generating electricity from seawater by harnessing natural electrochemical interactions. The technology has received technical recognition and approval from scientists under the MSME ecosystem, Government of India, and has been sanctioned with financial support of ₹6.00 lakhs to further advance research and development activities.
R. Vignesh is currently a Ph.D. research scholar in Soil Mechanics at Anna University, College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG)—one of India’s most reputed engineering institutions. His interdisciplinary research integrates geotechnical engineering, electrochemistry, and marine energy systems, strengthening the scientific foundation of seawater-based energy technologies.
His vision is to unlock the vast, untapped energy potential of the oceans and convert it into clean electricity and green hydrogen, supporting sustainable energy solutions and contributing to a carbon-neutral future.

Director – Research & Development: Dr. N. K. Rajan, Ph.D.

Dr. N. K. Rajan serves as the Director of Research and Development at Parkadal Energy, leading the advancement of the company’s clean energy and seawater-based technologies. He brings strong expertise in chemistry and environmental sciences, supporting the development of innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, one of India’s premier research institutions. His academic background and research experience provide a strong scientific foundation for the company’s work in electrochemical energy systems and environmentally responsible technologies.

Dr. Rajan actively contributes to the research and optimization of hydrogen (H₂) generation from seawater, with a focus on electrochemical approaches designed to prevent chlorine (Cl₂) evolution, addressing critical safety and environmental concerns. His role ensures that research outcomes are technically sound, scalable, and environmentally compliant.
With a deep understanding of chemical processes, materials behavior, and environmental impact, Dr. Rajan plays a key role in translating laboratory research into practical, industry-ready solutions. His leadership supports Parkadal Energy’s mission to deliver next-generation clean energy technologies for a sustainable future.
